Welcome to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) foresme! We are here to bring you a fun and active game that will last so you can enjoy it for a long time! The mods are dedicated, and care about this game as well as your enjoyment, and wish that you feel the same in carrying it out! All we ask for is a little cooperation, fun, and dedication and foresme will be the place for you! This game is centered around good, creative writers who hope to develop their characters with story lines and interaction. For Esme Records is a (make believe) independent record label based around New York City (primarily Brooklyn) that takes any form of music from R&B/hip hop, pop, to any form of rock and folk!
The label has been around since 2003 and has been growing strong ever since! The game allows more than just bands, as well. Other members of the label, fans, and street team members, anything really! So, hopefully foresme can be the home for you! Activity is obviously important. Threading and AIM logs are alright but AIM logs are required to be posted. Activity also includes updating your journal, posting and participating in communities and commenting things. Obviously we won't know when you're on AIM talking. Place holders are allowed and when posting logs/threads be sure to include the who,what,where,when, a rating and a LJcut.
When first being accepted you will have three days to post your introduction, before you are removed. Youtubes and large images are to be put under a cut, and journal names must relate to your character's name, the same goes for your aim sns. Currently the limit on characters is two. When doing something adult, such as rape, suicide, murder anything that would require a certain amount of permission please let the mods know beforehand, simply for the sake of letting us know. This doesn't mean your idea will be rejected, we just like to know what is going on--especially if it is as important as that. As such, don't cross IC/OOC just because they don't like your character doesn't mean they hate you.
This is all a game and it is all fake. If you are going to go through with your idea, please do it correctly and do the correct amount of research needed. Accepting applications is based on examples in the application. There seems to be confusion with this, so a little elaboration seems necessary: your examples are to be third person! Journal entries are allowed as well, but for the most part we want to see how you WRITE not how you do entries. Reapplying is allowed, but only three times!
After your third time at reapplying, you will be rejected immediately and no longer allowed to reapply. If you haven't noticed in credential there are other credits listed along with the music and other things that go hand in hand with For Esme. This is because your character is allowed other credits as well, so long as they do something else to promote or help out the label in some way.
With that said, please keep in mind that this is generally based around indie music and bands that just aren't that popular and thus wouldn't be on MTV, VH1, public/mainstream radio stations or on the covers of many magazines. with that said however, there are some magazines that could possibly feature them but keep in mind that those magazines would have to be magazines that only focus on music. (examples: rolling stone, Q, paste.)

when applying make sure your journal is ic meaning some variation of their name in the un, as is with the aim sns as well. please no extra words, numbers, underscores or x's because we feel they look rather tacky. while setting up your journal please include a story lines post/scene requests entry and a friends only entry before applying. when accepted, your introduction is to be within the first three days of joining and your first entry is within two weeks, after that your are to update every three weeks! we will be basing whether or not we will be accepting your applications on your examples but please do not pm them and instead post them in the screened post or in your character's journal. please have foresme added as a friend incase anything is locked to your journal and request membership before you're accepted. we will not be making a sls community, because we do not want you forming sls with anyone only to lose that line when their application is rejected. name: pb: journal/aim: directory: credits: check out the taken credits at credential. examples: don't pm request membership here here here here and heredirectory html
